Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers to help you choose your bags.
What are Crisp Seal bags made from?
The products in this range use OPP, or oriented polypropylene: a clear plastic film used for product packaging. The 500-count 5×7 option specifies 40-micron film. That specification is not confirmed for the 100-count option or the other sizes.
Are Crisp Seal bags food safe?
The marketplace listings or listing specifications for the four products shown here identify them as food safe. Check the specific listing and its instructions for your intended use. We do not claim FDA approval or suitability for every food, temperature or storage condition.
Are OPP bags the same as cellophane bags?
Clear OPP bags are often called “cello bags” or “cellophane bags” in marketplace listings and searches. The material specified for Crisp Seal bags is OPP (oriented polypropylene).
What size bag should I use for cookies?
Measure the item’s width, length and thickness, then allow room for the adhesive flap to close. Listed bag dimensions do not guarantee that a particular cookie or product will fit. Compare the 4×4, 4×6 and 5×7 options against your item.
Which bags work for pretzel rods?
The 2×10 pretzel rod bags are the long, narrow format in the range. They can also be used for appropriately sized candy sticks, rock candy and narrow favors. Check the size of your finished treat, including toppings.
Do I need a heat sealer?
No. These products have self-sealing adhesive flaps. Remove the protective backing, fold the flap and press it closed. A separate heat sealer or tape is not needed for that closure.
Are all the bags resealable?
Closure descriptions vary by product. The 4×4 and 5×7 listings describe resealable adhesive flaps. The 4×6 seller specifications describe a permanent self-sealing adhesive flap. The 2×10 listing specifies a self-sealing adhesive flap without a resealability claim. Check the product details for the size you choose.
Can I buy Crisp Seal bags in bulk?
Yes. The 4×6 range includes 500, 1,000, 4,000 and 6,000 bags, supplied in 100-count packs. The 5×7 range is available in 100 or 500 count. See bulk packaging for the current choices.
Where can I buy Crisp Seal products?
Each product page links directly to its Amazon or eBay listing. Choose your size and quantity, then follow the shopping link. The marketplace handles checkout and displays its current price, availability, delivery and return terms.
Are the treats, ribbons and decorations included?
No. Photos may show example contents and decorative accessories to demonstrate packaging uses. The shopping options on this site are for the bags described on each product page.
